Control Panel for Motorboat Lighting System

Port Electric Solutions, Inc. required a toggle switch for a motorboat lighting control panel. The panel which allows for full control of vessel exterior lighting contains various electronics which are extremely susceptible to water damage and salt corrosion.

NKK Switches’ team provided switch selection guidance and worked with Port Solutions, Inc to test multiple toggles to find the best fit for the application. They determined that the M Series Dual Seal Waterproof Toggle was the best option because has a watertight seal rating. Salt spray testing showed that it was able to withstand harsh environments. The Dual Seal IP68 rated toggles are waterproof, dust tight, and feature a built-in waterproof boot enabling the lighting control panel to function regardless of severe weather conditions.
